WWE is moving fast-paced ahead on the road to its premier show, WrestleMania 40 set to go down in Philadelphia this year. But it looks like they may have already finalized the location for their biggest annual show of the summer, Summerslam.
WWE SummerSlam is considered another big extravaganza for the company as a part of their renowned Big 4 shows. Over the years, it has produced some of the most exciting and enthralling moments for the global juggernaut.
Moreover, it has been rumored for months that WWE’s second biggest PLE would be held in Cleveland, OH. The speculation gained momentum following the disclosure that WWE was among the beneficiaries of TV and film production tax credits awarded by the Ohio Department of Development.
WrestleVotes noted on their X that according to his sources, WWE was close to finalizing a deal with the Cleveland Browns Stadium to host SummerSlam this year with a formal announcement coming as soon as April.
“Summerslam 2024 has been rumored for Cleveland, as Sean Ross Sapp hinted months ago. I’m told that through sources, WWE is close to finalizing a deal with Cleveland Browns Stadium to host the event on Saturday, Aug 3. Formal announcement should come in April.”
SummerSlam has been held in some of the most extravagant arenas and stadiums in its 36 years of rich history. So it will be interesting to see where WWE eventually finalizes to host the Biggest Party of the Summer in 2024.
