Mercedes Mone Throws Down the Gauntlet in Response to Giulia’s Callout

Mercedes Mone’s future in professional wrestling continues to be a widely discussed topic, fueled by strong speculation that she will be joining AEW at Big Business. Giulia recently called Mone out for a match and Mone has now responded to her match callout in a big way.

In an interview with Tokyo Sport, Giulia revealed her desire to defend the title against Mone since winning it from Willow Nightingale in July 2023. Despite Mone being inactive since Giulia’s title victory, she remains eager to face her in a match.

“I have been thinking ever since I won the belt that I have to put this belt on the line and beat Mone to overturn this saying,” Giulia said. “I can’t tell you right now where I will go from here, but I will continue to defend this belt until I find Mone.”

Giulia secured the title in July 2023, just over a month after Willow Nightingale defeated Mercedes Mone in the tournament final for the vacant championship.

Mercedes Mone took to Twitter and responded to Giulia calling her out for a match by making it clear Giulia knows very well where to find her, as she also dropped an AEW Dynamite Big Business reference for good measure.

Giulia is set to depart STARDOM soon while rumors of her WWE debut run rampant. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see when Mercedes Mone and Giulia will be squaring off against each other in the future.
