The Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson came to tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite intending to ruin The Icon, Sting’s last time on the company’s flagship show.
During the beginning of the event, The Bucks were spotted arriving at the arena with baseball bats and made it clear to the backstage correspondent, Renee Paquette that Sting’s last night on AEW Dynamite would be nothing short of a nightmare.
Despite their best efforts to look for the WWE Hall of Famer all night, The Bucks were unable to locate Sting in the entire Propst Arena at Von Braun Center. So they brought their search to the middle of the ring.
As soon as they made their way to ringside, Darby Allin, who was standing amongst the crowd, jumped then from behind but found himself outnumbered by Matt and Nick. This was followed by the arrival of The Nature Boy Ric Flair, who seemingly looked to support The Bucks, but in turn, launched the lefts and rights on them before being taken out, thanks to a timely low blow.
It was at that moment that Sting’s music hit and he finally showed up, descending down from the rafters, in a similar fashion to how he used to do back in WCW, and took out The Bucks with his trusted baseball bat and the Scorpion Death Drop in the ring, sending a huge message to their opponents at AEW Revolution where he will take the final bow from professional wrestling.
