Elias was a notable example of WWE struggling to find a suitable direction for a specific talent. He was released from WWE last year, and there has been advice against him making a move to AEW.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there was a prevailing belief within WWE that Elias’ Ezekiel storyline had a negative impact on his career in the company. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover from it, ultimately resulting in his eventual release.

Elias would then change his name to Elijah and compete at last week’s Wrestling REVOLVER event against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey in a singles match. Even in defeat, he impressed many fans with his performance.

While speaking on the Keepin It 100 OFFICIAL podcast, Konnan was asked about Elijah making his way to AEW in the future. Konnan stated that he believes Elijah would get lost in the shuffle in AEW and advised him not to go there.

“Bro, no. Not hating, just stating. I’m afraid if he went to AEW, so many other guys have gone there that they haven’t known what to do [with].. He’d probably get lost in the shuffle, and he’d be part of somebody’s faction. I think in TNA you have a lot more creativity.

We will have to wait and see how Elijah will fare in 2024, as fans want him to succeed in the business. Only time will tell if Elijah will decide to join Tony Khan’s company, as the world is truly his oyster right now.
