It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! The NXT Roadblock go-home show of WWE NXT will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the February 27, 2024 episode.
WWE NXT will start this week at 8:00 PM EST as always, match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below. You can check out the lineup below.
The show opens up with Vic Joseph and the returning WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcoming the fans. WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov then makes his way down to the ring. Dragunov calls Carmelo Hayes out and demands that he comes to the ring. Dragunov says he knows Hayes wants the NXT Championship, so Hayes should come out of his hiding place so they can talk about it. Hayes then makes his way out with security. Hayes tells Dragunov that they are his security and they are here to do whatever he needs them to.
Hayes then tells Dragunov that he makes him sick. Dragunov then says he wants Hayes in the ring. Hayes then says he isn’t stepping in the ring until he sees a contract. Hayes then gives Dragunov until the night’s end to work it out with Ava. Dragunov then attacks a few of Hayes’ security guards. The rest of the security then surrounds Hayes to protect him.
We then head backstage, where Gigi Dolin and Jaida Parker argue over who gets to talk to NXT General Manager Ava first. Ava then books Dolin vs. Parker in a one-on-one match for later tonight.
We then get the entrances for the first match of the night, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Jordan and James trading submission attempts. Jordan then sends James with a rope walk hip toss and James is tossed out of the ring. Jordan then hits a moonsault on James. Both women then continue to trade strikes and Jordan reverses a suplex and delivers a number of clotheslines on James. Jordan then hits a leaping back elbow on James and goes for a cover, but James kicks out. Jordan then gets another near fall after hitting a modified facebuster. James then escapes an Overdrive attempt by Jordan. James then hits a Spinebuster on Jordan and goes for a cover, but Jordan kicks out. James then distracts the referee while Izzi Dame trips Jordan as she is attempting a springboard. Jordan then hits the ring apron hard. Dame then sends Jordan back into the ring and hits her Deal Breaker finisher for the win.

We then get a video showing the confrontation between Jakara Jackson and Roxanne Perez from last week over Lash Legend answering the open challenge for Lyra Valkyria’s NXT Women’s Championship.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.
The match starts off with Anderson beating down Blade into the corner. Blade then hits a dropkick on Anderson. Blade and Enofé then deliver double dropkicks to Gallows and Anderson. Anderson then nails Enofé with a right hand. Enofé then hits Anderson with a Hurricanrana. Blade and Enofé then double team Anderson. Gallows then causes a distraction and Anderson sends Blade into the corner. Gallows then beats Blade down. Blade then tags Enofé in and Enofé clears the ring. Gallows then sends Blade into the ring steps. Enofé then misses a 450 splash attempt, but lands on his feet. Anderson then hits a Spinebuster on Enofé. Gallows and Anderson then hit their Magic Killer finisher for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) and Nathan Frazer and Axiom make their way out to confront Gallows and Anderson after being on the receiving end of an attack last week. Both teams demand to face Anderson and Gallows in a match, but the LWO sneak up from behind and jumps from the top rope. All four teams then begin brawling with one another as The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) appear with their NXT Tag Team Championships in hand.
We then head to the back, where NXT North American Champion Oba Femi is having a conversation with NXT General Manager Ava. NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov then enters Ava’s office and stares Femi down. Femi leaves and Dragunov tells Ava that they need to talk.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with a bit of back and forth between both women. Lash Legend then gets caught helping Jackson escape a Pop Rocks attempt from Perez and the referee ejects Legend from the ringside area. Jackson then blindsides Perez, but Perez answers back and delivers a number of strikes on Jackson. Perez then places Jackson in a crossface and Jackson submits.

We then head to the back, where Thea Hail opens up and complains about her relationship issues with Riley Osborne to Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx.
We then see The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) warn The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) that they are coming for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
We then get the entrances for the next match, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Crusifino sending Dijak out of the ring. Crusifino then hits a baseball slide on Dijak that sends him flying over the commentary table. Crusifino then works on Dijak, but Dijak comes back with a right hand on Crusifino and a number of heavy strikes. Dijak then annihilates Crusifino with a lariat. Crusifino then gets himself out of Dijak’s High Justice finisher and hits Dijak with several clotheslines, but Dijak is still on his feet. Crusifino then hits a back suplex on Dijak, but Dijak answers back with a discus boot on Crusifino. Dijak then hits his Feast Your Eyes finisher on Crusifino for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Joe Gacy makes his way down to ringside and it appears he has escaped from Dijak’s prison and from his straitjacket. Crusifino then uses Dijak’s nightstick to send him out of the ring towards Gacy. Gacy then brawls with Dijak to the back and Crusifino hides the nightstick behind the ring steps.
We then head to the back, were The Family is taking a look at what just happened. Tony D’Angelo then tells Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to go get them.
WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria then makes her way down to the ring to address the NXT Universe.
Valkyria starts off by wishing Shotzi a speedy recovery. Valkyria says when Shotzi is healthy she will give her a title shot. Valkyria then praises Lash Legend for showing up and showing out. Valkyria then says since Tatum Paxley held up her end of the bargain and stayed away last week, she has a surprise for Paxley. Paxley then enters the ring and joins the NXT Women’s Champion. Paxley says she will do anything for Valkyria. Valkyria then tells Paxley that she got them a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match against The Kabuki Warriors.
Paxley is excited with his massive news, but Ridge Holland interrupts. Holland says if they are finished he has something very important to get off his chest. Paxley and Valkyria then give Holland the ring. Holland says he is here to apologize for his actions. The arena goes dark and a cryptic message appears on the big screen. A mystery person attacks Holland with a chair. This mystery person removes their hood and it’s none other than the returning Shawn Spears.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Wagner going through King. Wagner then hits a big back body drop on King. Wagner then hits a delayed vertical suplex on King. King then avoids a running knee from Wagner and dropkicks Wagner’s knee. Wagner then stumbles and King focuses his attack on Wagner’s left knee. King then slams Wagner’s knee into the ring post and works over Wagner more.
Wagner is fired up and he sends King over the top rope with a clothesline. King then pushes Wagner into Mr. Stone outside the ring. Wagner then checks on Mr. Stone and as Wagner returns to the ring, King chop blocks him. King then sets up his finisher, but Mr. Stone gets on the apron. Wagner then takes.advantage and rolls up King for the 1-2-3.

After the match, King is upset with the loss and attacks Wagner. Mr. Stone then tries to make the save, but King leaves him laying after the Coronation.
We then head to the back, where Jaida Parker tells Tatum Paxley and NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria that they will get embarrassed by Asuka and Kairi Sane next week. Arianna Grace then enters and tells everyone that they shouldn’t fight. Valkyria then says fighting is their normal and Grace whispers that’s the case until they change it.
We then see Joe Gacy tape an argument between Dijak and NXT General Manager Ava. Gacy then approaches Dijak and attacks him.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Parker hitting a slam on Dolin. Parker then mocks Dolin and Dolin responds with a back elbow and a hip toss. Parker then falls into the ropes and Dolin hits a low dropkick on Parker. Parker kicks out at two from a pinfall attempt. Parker then sends Dolin into the corner and kicks her. Dolin then fires back and both women trade strikes. Parker then hangs Dolin in the corner and hits a springboard hip attack and goes for a pin. but Dolin kicks out.
Parker then hits a running blockbuster on Dolin and Dolan kicks out once again. Dolin then fights out of a submission hold. Arianna Grace then makes her way down to the ring and yells at Parker and Dolin to stop fighting. Grace then gets on the apron and accidentally distracts Dolin. Parker then hits her roaring elbow finisher on Dolin for the win.

After the match, Graces tells Dolin that they need to come together as she looks for her forgiveness.
We then see a video vignette of a returning NXT Superstar with the message “See you soon” written on a beach and the logo for Roadblock appearing right after.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then announces that NXT General Manager Ava has made an Asylum Match between Joe Gacy and Dijak official for next week’s NXT Roadblock.
We then get the entrances of the main event, which is an NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match.
The match starts off with Dar nailing Dempsey with a kick to his head, then following that up with a couple of knees to his midsection. Dar then rolls Dempsey up, but Dempsey kicks out and goes for a backslide. Dempsey gets the 1-2-3 and the first fall of the match.
Round two begins and Dar is working over Dempsey. Dempsey and Dar then trade strikes as the round ends. Round three then begins and both men are trading strikes. Dempsey then goes for another backslide, but Dar reverses that into a rear naked choke. Dempsey and Dar then trade submission holds. Dempsey then hits Dar with a German suplex. Dar then hits Dempsey with a spinning back elbow off the ropes as the round ends.
Round four begins and Dar doesn’t waste any time. Dark goes straight after Dempsey and hits a suplex on Dempsey, then follows it up with an elbow and a kick to his head. Dar then hits his Nova Roller finisher on Dempsey for the 1-2-3 and the second fall.
Round five begins and Dar jumps off the second rope to knock Dempsey down. Dar then hits a number of knees to Dempsey’s midsection before Myles Borne hops up on the apron. Mensah then pulls him off, but Borne sends him into the ring post. Dar then hits a back elbow to Dempsey and nails Kemp and Gulak. Dempsey then takes advantage and hits a Half Nelson suplex for the win.

After the match, all members of the No Quarter Catch Crew celebrate in the ring as members of Meta-Four look on.
We then head to the back, where Shawn Spears says that he struck Ridge Holland for not being truthful. Spears then announces that he will be at Roadblock next week.
WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov then makes his way down to the ring for the contract signing. Carmelo Hayes then makes his way down with security.
Hayes starts off by explaining that this is more of what he pictured. Hayes says his security is solely at ringside to protect him and says the NXT Championship is coming back to him at Roadblock next week. Dragunov then says they have been around each other for the last eight months or so and says he now realizes that Hayes will do anything and step over anyone to get his title back. Hayes then says that crazy coming from Dragunov after telling him that he would take his soul from him last week and says the only difference between them is that he is colder than Dragunov.
“The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo then makes his way down to the ring and says he needs to be included in the conversation about big business. Hayes then warns D’Angelo that he will send his security after him if he says another word and says Hayes isn’t the only one who can make things move around in NX”. Security then jumps off the apron and heads to the back and D’Angelo takes Ava’s seat. D’Angelo says he can’t be the only one to see that Hayes and Dragunov have dominated the NXT Championship picture and only one man can flip that on its head. Hayes says D’Angelo has had a year to talk about the NXT Championship and says while Dragunov dresses like a champion, his intent is a little dramatic. D’Angelo then says he is here to tell Dragunov he wants to take Dragunov’s title away from him and says he’s earned everything he has while those who have crossed him got what they deserved. D’Angelo then says he will earn a title match with Dragunov at Stand & Deliver and Dragunov says his interest is piqued. D’Angelo then announces that Ava has agreed to make a #1 Contenders match for the NXT Championship between him and Hayes to determine who will face Dragunov at Stand & Deliver.
Ava then tells Dragunov that the decision is ultimately his to make as to whether or not he agrees and the only thing that will be left is for Hayes to put pen to paper on the contract she has drafted. Dragunov then says he would like to see Hayes earn something for the first time in his life and agrees to D’Angelo’s proposal. Dragunov then tells D’Angelo to Whoop That Melo next week.
Hayes then objects, but tells D’Angelo that he can’t beat him. Hayes then says if they need someone to take out the trash, D’Angelo is the man, but he is “The Don” when it comes to the NXT Championship. D’Angelo then stands up from his seat and makes his way over to where Hayes is standing, but Hayes sends him into Dragunov. Hayes then sends D’Angelo crashing through the announce desk and calls for Ava to hand him the contract. Hayes signs it, then picks up the NXT Championship and throws it on top of Dragunov. Hayes then stands tall as the show comes to a close.
