QT Marshall, who had been with AEW since its inception, left the promotion when his contract expired. Despite this, Marshall is set to make a comeback to the company. He has now disclosed the reason for not wrestling anymore in AEW.
In case you missed it, QT Marshall publicly announced his resignation from AEW via social media post last year. AEW President Tony Khan praised Marshall and left the door open for his return. After resolving issues, Marshall has chosen to return to AEW, but not as an in-ring talent.
Marshall was set to be backstage at the February 24 episode of AEW Collision, and he has confirmed his attendance by sharing a recent promo shot. The image reveals Marshall in excellent ring shape, prompting a fan to suggest that he’s now “too cut for Meat Madness.”
This led to QT Marshall revealing why he will not be competing in AEW, stating that fans simply didn’t like him wrestling there in the past. Therefore, Marshall will chose to wrestle elsewhere.
”I’m not wrestling at AEW. The fans didn’t like me out there so I’m going to wrestle everywhere else. I’m a man of the people.”
QT Marshall’s responsibilities following his AEW return have also been revealed. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether QT Marshall will prove to be a valuable asset to AEW in the long run.
