Drew McIntyre is on a mission to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and he is one step closer to his goal by winning the Men’s Elimination Chamber, booking his shot at WrestleMania 40. However, McIntyre indicated he suffered an injury and this worried fans.
During the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, Drew McIntyre took part in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. The match ended the way fans wanted it to, as the Scottish Warrior secured the win, aided by an intervention from Logan Paul. Paul attacked Randy Orton, incapacitating him and paving the way for McIntyre to earn his spot at WrestleMania 40.
Afterwards, Drew McIntyre claimed that he burst his eardrums during the match. He also stated the same on RAW this week, and many fans wondered if McIntyre was actually injured.
According to PWInsider Elite, it was reported that Drew McIntyre’s injury is 100% legitimate but he is not expected to miss out on any in-ring time and will be competing at WrestleMania 40 in April.
”The Scottish Warrior told Byron Saxton in a backstage interview that he burst his eardrum after competing in the Men’s Elimination Chamber matchup. PW Insider has since confirmed that the injury is 100% legitimate. It doesn’t look like he will miss any time as he was on last night’s edition of Raw in San Jose.”
It is certainly good to know that The Scottish Warrior will be competing at WrestleMania 40 after working so hard to get to the main event of the show. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see if he will defeat Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Show of Shows.
