Top TNA Star’s Contract Set to Expire Very Soon

The wrestling community was shocked by the abrupt departure of Scott D’Amore from the role of TNA President. In light of his firing, fans expected many TNA wrestlers to simply leave the company. In light of this turn of events, it appears a TNA Wrestling star will become a free agent this year.

WWE released Steve Maclin from his contract as part of their pandemic cuts and he would make his way to TNA Wrestling. He joined the promotion in the summer of 2021 and has been a mainstay since then.

While speaking on Sean Ross Sapp’s Backstage report, it was noted that Steve Maclin will become a free agent in May of this year. It was further noted that Maclin and TNA have not had any discussions regarding a contract extension.

”Steve Maclin is a free agent as of May, I have not heard if the two sides have had discussions about an extension. He was working the most recent tapings however.”

Only time will tell whether Steve Maclin will decide to stick with TNA Wrestling or take his skills elsewhere. With his wife Deonna Purrazzo already in AEW, perhaps that might be his next destination, should he leave TNA Wrestling.
