Rey Mysterio is one of the most beloved WWE Superstars of all time and he has been away from WWE television while he recovers from his injury. Amidst his injury hiatus, the masked luchador made his presence felt at UFC Mexico City recently.

TKO Group Holdings demonstrated increased brand synergy with the appearance of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio in the audience at a recent UFC event in Mexico City on February 24, 2024. Mysterio received a loud pop when he appeared on screen during the event.

This highlights the ongoing crossover appeal between WWE and UFC since both brands are now under the umbrella of TKO Group Holdings. Montez Ford, Bianca Belair, and CM Punk made appearances at UFC 298.

Additionally, UFC fighter Michael Chandler was spotted in the audience during the February 19 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, where he issued a challenge to Conor McGregor for a future fight.
