Finn Balor has been the Undisputed Tag Team Champion for the past several months and at the WWE Elimination Chamber event, he suffered an injury scare that worried fans. We now have an update on his condition following the Premium Live Event.
At the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, Finn Balor and Damian Priest retained their Undisputed Tag Team titles against Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate. This is despite the fact that Balor had a bloody finger, which was part of Pete Dunne’s strategy throughout the match.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez mentioned that Finn Balor, who exhibited a heavily bleeding thumb at the end of the match, is said to be okay. Balor convincingly sold the injury, prompting uncertainty about whether it was a break or a cut. However, it appears that whatever the issue was, Balor is in good condition.
“And then we had Finn Balor who, at the end of the match, holds up his hand and his thumb is bleeding like crazy. And man, he sold that thing big. And we weren’t sure if he had broken his thumb or cut it open or whatever. But apparently, whatever it was, he’s alright.“
It is certainly good to know that Finn Balor did not suffer any genuine injury and it was just part of him being an excellent seller. It remains to be seen who he will be booked in the coming weeks, as we slowly approach WrestleMania 40.
