Baron Corbin is not only a skilled athlete inside the wrestling ring but also a well-trained expert in the world of Jiu-Jitsu. Despite coming up short in his recent quest, Corbin walked away with learnings far greater than the victory itself.
The former WWE United States champion was a participant in the recent edition of the Jiu-Jitsu World League after winning a gold medal at the last competition. However, this time, he suffered a 2-0 loss in the finals.
Corbin took to his Instagram to reflect on the loss, while mentioning the learnings from the setback and vowing to win another gold medal much like he did last time.
“Obviously not the result I wanted last night! Lost 2-0 on points in the finals. @the305mvp put it in perspective and said “You win or you learn. What did you learn?” I defn learned a few things and will get back in the Lab and work! The work is never done! @rudos_bjj already has a plan. We all stumble and it should push us to get better. I’m taking home another gold in the next tournament.”
Moreover, Baron Corbin also hoped that his fellow competitor still hold the gold until next time so that Corbin could take it off him.
“I hope the guy who beat me is there so I can get it back. Let’s go! #bjj#silversucks#oss#fujibjj.”
Baron Corbin and his partner in NXT, Bron Breakker recently won the NXT tag team titles and are looking to be ready to welcome all challenges who aim to dethrone them for the gold.
