The action unfolding in the Tony Khan-led All Elite Wrestling every week has left millions in awe. For years now, the high risk maneuvers featured on AEW TV have left massive questions on other promotions’ risk taking ability. However, millions around the world have also found AEW matches dangerous.
Thanks to the hardcore action in AEW, numerous stars have found themselves in rehab, the latest name being former WWE superstar Jeff Hardy. While the stars have never addressed the intense matches and action unfolding every week, Eric Bischoff has now commented on the same.
In a recent interview on 83 Weeks, Bischoff aligned with AEW stating that the kind of action fans of the promotion want is hardcore action. The AEW Universe has also encouraged the intense action with their ‘This is Awesome’ chants every week.
“I think part of it is too because of the nature of what AEW finds appealing is so much of the high-risk, justified, ‘This is awesome’ chants which is usually a result of something really, really high risk and stupid, that’s what they’re going for.
“Talent probably feels like they’ve got to go to an extreme to get over, particularly because you’re wrestling in front of 2,000 people on a television show. I think mostly its the reps, these guys are just not as tight and as sharp as they would be if they’re on the road three, or four, or five days a week.”
AEW’s intense action will continue to unfold every week on TV with numerous new and action-packed pay-per-views being announced for every month. To get the latest updates on AEW, stay connected to Ringside News.
