Damage CTRL was once, one of the most close-knit and dominant factions in WWE only for personal egos and deteriorating friendships to damage the faction of the same name.

The entire fiasco began with the woman who started the group, Bayley winning the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match and challenging her cohort, IYO Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship.

The Role Model chose her own faction member after it was revealed that IYO’s perspective changed towards Bayley, courtesy of the influence of the members added later to the group, Asuka and Kairi Sane.

The continuous mockery in Japanese behind her back finally came to the forefront when Bayley revealed her knowledge about the foreign language, ending her friendship with IYO Sky and vowing to take the Women’s title off her former partner.

Amidst the entire heated rivalry, another Dakota Kai member was seen favoring Bayley in the weeks leading up to it. That seemingly cost her big time as it was revealed on tonight’s edition of SmackDown that she was attacked by the other Damage CTRL members backstage.

Bayley came to check on her friend, who described the entire situation and mentioned that they were coming for Dakota to pledge her allegiance to Bayley on the road to WrestleMania 40. However, Dakota Kai boldly stated that she would stand right beside Bayley in this civil war against IYO Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.

Do you think Dakota Kai was really jumped by IYO Sky and crew on SmackDown? or is it just a ruse to lure Bayley and assault her so that she does not make to WrestleMania? Sound off in the comments!
