Rhea Ripley is certainly one of the top female WWE Superstars right now, as her stock continues to rise with every passing week. She also decided to send a message to her haters before Elimination Chamber this week.
Rhea Ripley is positioned as the headline star of Elimination Chamber 2024. Not only is she featured prominently as the cover star on the event poster, but she also takes center stage as the face of the official hashtag for the show, making her a focal point in all the promotional efforts for the event in Australia.
The journey to the pinnacle of the wrestling world has been a challenging one for the female star, Rhea Ripley. Her struggles to find her footing in the company have been well-documented. However, even before her time with the company, the Judgement Day Star had to overcome numerous hardships and face detractors at every stage of her career.
Rhea Ripley opened up about her struggles during a recent appearance on The Bump. When asked about her message for her detractors ahead of the Elimination Chamber event, The Mami recounted the numerous individuals in her life who had tried to dissuade her from pursuing a career in wrestling.
“Yeah, those people that doubted me throughout the entire journey. I had school teachers who laughed in my face when I wanted to do projects on WWE and wrestling. People judged me for wanting to try out for Riot City Wrestling, the independent scene in Australia where I began my wrestling career. Even when I laid out my plan to dedicate myself to the craft and make it to WWE, there were constant voices saying, ‘You should find a real job. You should study. You should do something else. You’re never gonna make it. It’s a silly dream. You have to be more realistic about your life.’
”The one thing I have to say to that is, ‘Where are you guys now?’ I’m here, living my dream. I worked hard for this dream, and they’re miserable in their little, crappy lives. So yeah, sue me.”
The Women’s Champion is set to defend her title against Nia Jax in a singles match at Elimination Chamber 2024, taking place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. It remains to be seen how she will fare in the bout.
