Adam Page is known for his hard-hitting style in AEW and has experienced various injuries throughout his career. Although it appeared that he suffered an injury on Dynamite this week, it was later revealed to be a scripted part of the show. Despite being a work, this development seems to have upset Jerry Lynn.
In this week’s AEW Dynamite main event, AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage faced FTW Champion HOOK, “Hangman” Adam Page, and RVD. Fans observed a moment where Adam Page appeared to roll his ankle in a spot with Samoa Joe. Post-show footage revealed Page struggling to walk backstage.
Dave Meltzer reported that Page suffered an ankle injury, but that was quickly debunked as it was reported that Adam Page was simply working the fans.
Jeremy Lynn took to Twitter and commented on a report about Adam Page’s injury not being legitimate. Lynn made it clear he was upset over this fact and stated that it should have stayed under wraps so as to be a cliffhanger.
”This shouldn’t even be announced. God forbid we have a cliff hanger for next week.”
We will have to wait and see how AEW will continue to book Adam Page as we head toward the Revolution pay-per-view next month, as fans are definitely excited for his bout against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland.
