AEW has undergone numerous changes and experienced substantial growth in various areas, with business gradually expanding for the company across multiple avenues. With Arthur Ashe Stadium being a crucial part of AEW now, the company is planning to hold a pay-per-view event at the stadium this year.
Every year, the company has witnessed some form of growth, be it in the number of talents, improved production values, or more. The introduction of AEW Grand Slam events at Arthur Ashe Stadium was a significant addition to the product in 2021, and it has become an annual event ever since.
According to PWInsider, it was reported that the promotion is set to return to the venue in 2024, with plans for it to be a pay-per-view event rather than a television taping. If this unfolds, it would mark the first AEW PPV in New York City proper, as Worlds End took place in Long Island instead.
As previously reported, AEW also plans to host two stadium shows in the USA this year.
In addition to the two US stadium shows, AEW will also be hosting AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London. This means the company will have a total of three stadium shows this year, which would certainly be a significant development. It remains to be seen when AEW will hold a pay-per-view event in Arthur Ashe Stadium this year.
