Adam Page is one of the hardest hitters in all of AEW and has seen his fair share of injuries during the course of his career. Many believe he suffered an injury on Dynamite this week and we now have an update on his health following the event.
As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the main event featured AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and “The Machine” Brian Cage facing off against FTW Champion HOOK, “Hangman” Adam Page and RVD.
Many fans noticed that Adam Page might have rolled his ankle during a spot with Samoa Joe. Footage after the show told a grim tale, as Adam Page had difficulty walking while making his way to the back.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Adam Page’s health status after AEW Dynamite. Meltzer noted that he heard someone who was present at ringside overheard Adam Page state that he believed he broke his ankle.
Alvarez: ”Could be a broken ankle.”
Meltzer: ”Yeah, that’s what I heard.”
Meltzer: ‘‘I heard somebody that was at ringside, when he was on the ground, he was saying he thought his ankle was broken.”
This is terrible news for Adam Page, who is set to challenge Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution. We will have to wait and see whether he will end up getting surgery and miss in-ring action for a long time.
