WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has always been a man of family and friends. On TV or off-screen, the former NWO member has always put his loved ones first. While his immensely successful career has helped him make a lot of friends on the road, one his best friends has always been Sting.
The Icon is currently contracted with AEW and is set to wrestle his last match on March 3. At AEW Revolution 2024, the WWE Hall of Famer is set to team up with Darby Allin to defend their AEW Tag Team Championships in a tag team tornado match against the Young Bucks.
Kevin Nash has often addressed the real-life camaraderie he has had with Sting. Given the latter helped him a lot during the early days of his career, Nash has always respected the WWE legend. However, the former 64-year-old might not be able to attend his friend’s retirement match.
During a recent episode of Kliq This, Nash revealed that his contract with WWE won’t allow him to witness his friend’s retirement match live at AEW Revolution 2024. However, he wishes to make an appearance at the Greensboro Coliseum on March 3.
“He asked me to be a part of it, I just said that … you know, with my positioning with WWE I couldn’t -– I couldn’t even be … If I went in the crowd, it would be … you know? I asked [WWE] –- you know when you ask and there’s that three-second pause? It’s like when you be on the road and you’re like, ‘Hey babe? We’re at Fort Wayne, I’m gonna go to Stewie’s Strip Joint, you got a problem with that?’ Nothing.”
Though Kevin Nash might not be able to attend the pay-per-view, he would surely enjoy his friend’s big match. However, things might change in the next few days and a one-time pass might be given to the Hall of Famer to attend AEW Revolution.
