AEW commentator Jim Ross has not been in perfect health for the past few weeks now. The WWE Hall of Famer announced he had skin cancer back in 2021 which he got rid of in a couple of months. However, in 2024, he announced he had cancer in his hip as well.
After months of health issues and rehab, a positive update has not been received from Ross. The 72-year-old took to X to reveal that February 20 was the first full day he spent on the Jax beach and was out of the rehab facility.
The star revealed that he was using a cane for now and that his broken hip was responding well. If his recovery continues to go well, he might make his return to AEW programming very soon.
“First full day on Jax Beach and out of the rehab facility! Using a cane for now. Improving daily. Broken hip responding well. Excited for my future with @AEW!”
A few weeks ago, Jim Ross revealed that his contract with AEW was set to expire. While a date was not revealed, with his continuous health issues, him taking a break might have been a possibility.
Though there is no update on his contract, Ross mentioned in his tweet that he was looking forward to his future in AEW. After his positive health update, a return to AEW programming will clear all the questions for fans.
