CM Punk has been keeping a close watch on WWE television programming, despite being on the sidelines due to his triceps injury, and is continuously finding ways to be a part of the road to WrestleMania 40.
It was earlier reported that The Best in the World was backstage for tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW, emanating from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California as part of the WWE-UFC takeover week.
The reports indeed proved to be true, as CM Punk made his way out to the ring following an introduction by Cody Rhodes who also came out at the conclusion of the high-stakes main event match and RAW going off the air.
Punk was met by a fallen Jey Uso, who was denied a shot at winning the WWE Intercontinental championship from GUNTHER, courtesy of a distraction by his brother, Jimmy Uso.
Jey Uso sat in the corner of the ring as Punk addressed the sold-out crowd in attendance for RAW. He praised the show and made it clear that the next time RAW invades their city, CM Punk will be there and have his wrestling boots on. You can check it out here.
“This is a bump in the road and I promise you, the next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here and I will have my boots on.”
CM Punk is expected to be out for months to rehab his injury, suffered at the hands of Drew McIntyre during the 2024 Royal Rumble event. We will have to wait and see if Punk lives up to his promise and gets medical clearance to compete on RAW next time in Anaheim, California.
Do you think CM Punk will be able to recover from his injury the next time WWE is in Anaheim? Sound off in the comments!
