A looming free agency status is on the horizon for a former World Champion.
Reports from Fightful Select indicate that Steve Maclin, a former IMPACT World Champion, may soon become a free agent as his contract with TNA is slated to expire in May. Maclin, who entered the promotion in 2020 following his departure from WWE, swiftly ascended to the ranks of top-tier talent within the company.
Having spent a considerable portion of his career within the WWE fold, predominantly in NXT, Maclin, along with Wesley Blake, transitioned to the main roster only to face hiatus due to backstage issues involving Jaxson Ryker. While Ryker remained with WWE despite the controversies, Maclin and Blake were ultimately released from their contracts.
In 2023, Maclin showcased a remarkable performance in the ring, delivering what many hailed as some of the most exceptional matches of the year during his tenure in IMPACT.
As of now, the status of any negotiations between Maclin and TNA regarding a contract extension remains undisclosed.
