Last year, Dave Finlay’s son Brogan Finlay, inked an official deal with WWE NXT and has been training hard ever since. He finally showed off his skills as he made his in-ring debut recently at an NXT live event.

At an NXT house show in Tampa, Florida, a historic match unfolded as second-generation stars faced off in the ring. Brogan Finlay made his first in-ring appearance for WWE. He squared off against Charlie Dempsey, the real-life son of William Regal. While Dempsey emerged victorious, Finlay’s debut was well-received by the audience in attendance.

Brogan Finlay’s WWE NXT debut against Charlie Dempsey holds a historical connection, as their fathers, Fit Finlay and William Regal, engaged in notable feuds in WCW. Finlay made his WCW debut by attacking Regal.

Their paths crossed again at Great American Bash 2006, where they faced off for Finlay’s U.S. title after Bobby Lashley’s medical test failure. Finlay picked up the win, retaining his title in the WWE pay-per-view showdown.
