The Rock and Roman Reigns came to this week’s edition of SmackDown with a lot on their mind and plans to make history on The Brahma Bull’s own show and probably delivered what they promised.
The Samoan duo currently find themselves embroiled in a heated rivalry with the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. It began following the events of the WrestleMania kick-off press event in Las Vegas and WWE CCO Triple H announcing Reigns vs Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in the main event of WrestleMania 40.
Reigns opened the segment berating Salt Lake City and mentioning that it would be a historic edition of the blue brand. He then proceeded to add that tonight would be the official initiation of The Rock into The Bloodline and right after, The Great One made his way to the ring.
The Rock started by announcing that the fans broke the record for the most indoor attendance in the state of Utah, only to berate them in a heartbeat. He continued the insults towards the WWE Universe, blaming them for bringing out his dark side and throwing away the biggest WrestleMania main event of all time.
The 10-time WWE champion used historic insults to fire back at the People’s Hero, Cody Rhodes even bringing up his loss to Roman Reigns at last year’s WrestleMania. In the end, he mentioned that Cody will end up the loser once again, not being able to finish his story, and pledged his official allegiance to The Bloodline with his iconic catchphrases.
Do you think The Rock and Roman Reigns would end Cody Rhodes’ dreams of finishing the story? Sound off in the comments!
