Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have a lot of history together, as they debuted on the main roster as The Shield and eventually feuded with each other over the years. They might still be taking shots at each other, but there’s still mutual respect between them, which is why Rollins recently admitted Reigns is one of the greatest to ever do it.
After Cody Rhodes won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, Rollins and Reigns exchanged words about their championships. Rollins suggested Rhodes face him at WrestleMania 40 instead of Reigns, calling Reigns’ title ‘Hollywood’ and emphasizing his own championship’s merit.
Reigns later appeared on SmackDown, downplaying the significance of Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship, deeming it a consolation prize for those unable to dethrone him as the reigning champion.
Even during the WrestleMania 40 kickoff press event, Rollins and Reigns went at it again. While speaking to Cam Heyward on Not Just Football, Rollins played a game of word association and Reigns’ name came up. To this, Rollins admitted that Reigns is one of the greatest to ever do it.
“Roman Reigns is one of the greatest to ever do it. I’ll say nice things about him. He’s my brother, we came up together, he’s one of the greatest to ever do it. I don’t always agree with him, but he is one of the greatest to ever do it, no doubt.”
Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania 40 trajectory after the press conference has been revealed as well. We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book his feud with The Bloodline in the coming weeks.
