Drew McIntyre has climbed his way back up to the top of the main event conversation with his recent menace antics on WWE television programming.
However, his contract is reportedly coming to an end in early 2024. This comes amidst the time when The Scottish Warrior has become a top fixture on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, experiencing a similar success he did in 2020.
During a recent conversation with West Sport, the former WWE champion was asked about his WWE contract status. Drew chose to remain tight-lipped and stated that he would let the internet talk about it while he watched from the sidelines.
“I can’t talk about that. I’ll let the internet talk about it. I’ll just keep watching. It’s interesting. I’m not the only one that has a contract in WWE. It’s just interesting that it seems to be mine that is on there every week for a year.”
Drew McIntyre is currently advertised for WWE’s upcoming live event in Italy on May 1, meaning that his current deal would be valid till that month.
Moreover, he is scheduled to participate in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the namesake pay-per-view next week in Perth, Australia. The winner of the match would receive an opportunity to battle Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
