Darby Allin Subtly References Cody Rhodes In Verbal Exchange With The Young Bucks on 2/14 Episode of AEW Dynamite

Darby Allin made his presence felt at the very moment his foes, Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks were about to inflict damage on AEW commentator Tony Schiavone on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite.

Right after Darby made the timely save for Schiavone, he got into a verbal altercation with The Young Bucks who retreated to the ramp when the face-painted superstar came charging towards them.

Referencing their abuse of power as the EVPs of the All Elite landscape, Darby Allin subtly mentioned another former EVP of the company during his promo who left in 2022 for rival competition, WWE, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes was an integral part of building AEW as a direct competition to the global juggernaut in its initial days. However, he and his wife Brandi Rhodes left the promotion in January 2022, following which he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

The American Nightmare is currently one of their flagship stars who is looking to main event his second straight WrestleMania this year against Roman Reigns and finally finish his story by winning the championship his father, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes never won.
