Major Title Match Announced for 2/20 WWE NXT Episode

Lyra Valkyria has been riding the wave of momentum ever since she captured the WWE NXT Women’s Championship from The Man Becky Lynch last year, facing an influx of new challengers.

The Irish superstar made her presence felt earlier in tonight’s edition of NXT, being ringside for the match between Lola Vice and the woman who has been obsessed with her, Tatum Paxley.

Paxley put in a valiant effort in the match against the Latina Heat and despite Lyra in her corner, she submitted to a deadly sleeper hold and lost to Lola Vice, passing out in the process.

The NXT Women’s Champion then carried Paxley backstage, trying to wake her up, and found herself interrupted by main roster star, Shotzi. She mocked their supposed friendship, not before challenging Valkyria to a title match she accepted for next week.

The match was later announced on WWE’s official X and would prove to be highly exhilarating and jampacked between the two talented stars of the women’s division.
