Logan Paul has held the prestigious United States Champion title for three months, successfully retaining it at last month’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Rumors suggested he would defend his title at Elimination Chamber, but that match may no longer happen.
The Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is scheduled to take place on February 24th at the Opus Stadium in Perth, Australia. The company has already confirmed some matches for the event as well.
During SmackDown last week, it was expected WWE would announce Logan Paul’s next challenger for his US Title, but that didn’t happen. Naturally, this confused fans who expected a proper title match announcement instead. Especially because it was rumored Paul would battle Kevin Owens at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dae Meltzer talked about just how unpredictable WWE’s plans are now as things could change at any time. He noted that WWE has seemingly abandoned Logan Paul vs Kevin Owens’ US Title match for the Elimination Chamber.
”The Logan Paul thing, because if you remember just last week, which shows you how much things are changing quickly weekly and daily, Logan Paul and Kevin Owens were originally going to do US title match in Perth. Now, they’re just two guys in the tournament but I guess they’ll both be in.”
Cody Rhodes already confirmed his status for the Premium Live Event and WWE has also seemingly spoiled the participants for the Women’s Chamber match. Only time will tell whether Logan Paul and Kevin Owens get to have their rematch at WrestleMania 40 instead.
