Buddy Matthews Responds to ‘We Want Mami’ Chants During Indie Show

Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews are what people consider to be one of the most wholesome couples in pro wrestling right now. Matthews also known to be very chill with how much attention Ripley gets. In fact, he even responded to ‘We want mami’ chants during a recent indie show.

Buddy Matthews, fka Buddy Murphy in WWE, has been in a real-life relationship with Ripley for a long time now. The two have often shown each other a lot of love and support on social media, despite working in different companies.

During a recent independent show, fans in attendance started very loud ‘We want Mami!’ chants while Buddy Matthews was in the ring. Matthews directly responded to the chants and had a very apt response for fans, leading to tons of cheers from fans.

”So you guys, I need to go home and spend time with Mami. I will leave you, I will say goodnight and say see you later.”

Ripley and Matthews previously announced their engagement as well. Rhea Ripley also previously hinted that she could convince Matthews to make his WWE return. It remains to be seen whether Mathews will be returning to WWE eventually.
