Seth Rollins, currently sidelined with a knee injury but anticipated to return for WrestleMania 40, has taken a direct jab at Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Rollins, known for his rigorous work ethic, has often touted himself as the “workhorse” of WWE, consistently defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and tirelessly participating in weekly shows and live events.
In contrast, Reigns has been criticized for his less frequent in-ring appearances, wrestling perhaps once a month and not appearing on every episode of SmackDown.
In response to criticism on social media about his injury-related absences, Rollins defended himself with a pointed comparison: “Dawg I’ve taken less time off for injuries in the last 12 years than the other champ has taken for vacation in the last 2 years…”
Reigns, in a previous acknowledgment, admitted that Rollins works far more frequently than him but countered by claiming he earns ten times as much money.
The rivalry between the two was further fueled when they crossed paths during the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event, with Reigns interrupting Rollins while he addressed the audience.
It’s worth noting that Rollins holds a significant victory over Reigns, securing a disqualification win at WWE Royal Rumble 2022 during Reigns’ ongoing championship reign.
