WWE recently filed for a new trademark as a part of potentially introducing a new concept to their content, which was made official at tonight’s WWE WrestleMania press event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the panel discussion for the show, WWE announcer Michael Cole announced that WWE Speed would be the latest edition to the company’s content as a virtual series on their YouTube channel.
The series will showcase various WWE matches under a time limit of 5 minutes. Over the years, many bouts have ended in those time frames and despite the shorter length of the contests, they are still remembered as iconic bouts for the company.
Some of the notable matches include The Rock setting the record at WrestleMania against Erick Rowan, Goldberg spearing Brock Lesnar and punching his first victory in under two minutes in 2016 or Aliyah defeating Natalya in a record-setting time on SmackDown.
With WWE continuing to evolve each and every day with interesting concepts and innovations, WWE Speed would surely be an enthralling and exciting series to watch out for.
