The Undertake is one of the most respected WWE Superstars of all time. He was popular with the fans due to his unique gimmick which he worked hard to protect.
Given the success of the Deadman gimmick, several superstars have come close to portraying a similar gimmick on television. Bray Wyatt is a good example of this. Another example is Thomas Latimer.
Latimer was better known as Kenneth Cameron during his Florida Championship Wrestling days. He was part of the original Ascension. However, he failed to receive a main roster call-up. During his run, Latimer portrayed a dark character which was a bit similar to The Undertaker.
During a recent interview with Developmentally Speaking, Latimer said that he thought The Undertaker would take issue with their gimmick but he was cool with it.
“We go into a room and shut the door, and he’s in there and he [jokingly] goes, ‘So you guys are stealing my royalties?’ and I was just like, ‘Oh boy.’ He’s like, ‘Nah, I don’t care, it’s absolutely fine. Do what you want.’ He said, ‘Obviously WWE cares about my character, The Undertaker, and things like that, but I don’t see it being a problem, and thanks for asking.'”
While The Undertaker is retired from the ring, Latimer still wrestles occasionally. He last competed for the PWK Title against Scotty Young on 2nd December 2023.
