The Rock vs. Roman Reigns was originally slated for WrestleMania 39, but due to The Rock’s busy schedule, he couldn’t be physically prepared for the match. It is now all but confirmed for this year’s WrestleMania, and it seems The Great One has made a compelling case for why the match should headline the Show of Shows.
During a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes relinquished his WrestleMania 40 main event match to The Rock. This decision sparked significant discontent among fans, leading to a movement that is steadily gaining momentum with each passing day.
The Rock actively advocated for a WrestleMania 40 showdown with Roman Reigns. His strong push for the match was driven by the desire to elevate WrestleMania 40 into a truly significant and lucrative event, emphasizing its potential as a big money affair.
While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, The Rock made a compelling case for why he and Roman Reigns should square off against each other at WrestleMania 40, making it clear that it would be the biggest main event in the history of WrestleMania.
“At the end of the day, I know it, you know it, we know it, Roman knows it, Cody knows it, his fans know it, that at the end of the day, The Rock vs Roman Reigns is the, capital T, capital H, capital E, biggest main event in the history of #WrestleMania, The Rock & Roman Reigns & I’ll end it there, they all know it.”
The Rock already confirmed that he will be competing at WrestleMania 40 and has begun training for his in-ring return. The Rock and Roman Reigns will have face-off at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event today as well. We will have to wait and see if The Rock will end up beating Roman Reigns at The Showcase of The Immortals.
