Seth Rollins has been credited as one of the true workhorses of WWE for a long time, being exceptional inside the ring and captivating the audience with his presence.
He has been a part of the global juggernaut for more than ten years now and has carved out a remarkable career, winning numerous championships and accolades, right from his days in The Shield to being the Drip God of WWE.
The current World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke to Fightful after tonight’s WWE WrestleMania kick-off press event where he discussed the status of his current contract. Rollins confirmed that his deal is set to expire this year, but he is hopeful to work out another deal with the company.
Moreover, he also spoke about being advertised for a main event WrestleMania match, despite his monumental Money in the Bank cash-in win at WrestleMania 31, while currently rehabbing his knee to be in shape for this year’s Show of Shows.
“Rollins confirmed that his contract is up this year, as Fightful Select reported, but said that he believes a deal will get done, and that he’s been very proud to work with WWE. Even though he closed WrestleMania as champion one year, he still has a goal of being advertised for a main event of WrestleMania. He discussed his rollercoaster of emotions regarding his injury and potential WrestleMania opponents. When he sustained his knee injury, he knew it was something, but didn’t think it was a torn ACL. He said that he’s working to get healthy as soon as he can and wants to be ready for Mania.”
While the 2024 Royal Rumble winner, Cody Rhodes chose Roman Reigns as his opponent for WrestleMania 40 at the press event, that leaves Seth Rollins with a dance partner for the event.
So we will have to wait and see who steps up to the Drip God to challenge him for his prestigious World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Who do you think will be Seth Rollins’ opponent? Sound off in the comments!
