Cody Rhodes Finally Chooses Who He Will Face At WrestleMania 40

Ever since Cody Rhodes won the 2024 Royal Rumble and he pointed at Roman Reigns, it almost seemed like his decision was final.

However, after Seth Rollins tried to convince him to change his decision and face him at WrestleMania 40 instead, it looked as if Cody was confused. To make matters worse, it seemed as if The Rock had stolen Cody Rhodes’ spot at WrestleMania 40.

Tonight on the WrestleMania XL Press Event, Seth Rollins came out to talk about his match at WrestleMania 40. However, he was interrupted by Roman Reigns. Roman said that he chooses to face The Rock at WrestleMania.

Just then, The Rock’s music hit and he came out to a chorus of boos from the crowd. The Rock showed the Bloodline family tree and said that whether the fans like it or not the biggest main even in WWE history will take place at WrestleMania between himself and the Tribal Chief.

Just then Cody Rhodes came out and said that they don’t get to decide who the main event of WrestleMania is. He said the winner of the Royal Rumble decides the main event of WrestleMania and he chooses to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Roman who was incensed said that the moment had passed and he had lost his opportunity. However, when Cody mentioned that their ancestors would be ashamed of Roman Reigns, The Rock lost it and slapped Cody across the face ending the segment.

With this decision, we’ll have to see what happens to The Rock and Roman Reigns’ match at WrestleMania 40.
