Dijak References The Rock’s Iconic Promo to Explain Carmelo Hayes’ Betrayal of Trick Williams

Carmelo Hayes’ friendship with Trick WIlliams was one of the best things about NXT but he ultimately betrayed him at NXT Vengeance Day this week. Now, Dijak referenced an infamous promo about The Rock as the reason for his betrayal.

At NXT Vengeance Day, Trick Williams faced Ilja Dragunov in an unsuccessful attempt to win the NXT Championship. In a surprising turn of events, Carmelo Hayes betrayed Trick Williams, launching vicious attack on him after his defeat.

It was then confirmed that Carmelo Hayes would explain his actions on this week’s episode of NXT. In light of this segment, Dijak took to Twitter and referenced Rikishi running over Steve Austin for The Rock as the reason for Carmelo Hayes’ actions.
