Fans expressed a desire for Cody Rhodes to conclude his storyline at WrestleMania, and the potential hindrance of that possibility has sparked significant backlash against WWE.

The negative reaction to The Rock was on full display during the NXT Vengeance Day Premium Live Event. This is because they booed The Rock when they announced Roman Reigns will have a face off with The Rock this week.

According to Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, it was reported that WWE took measures to cover up the boos against The Rock during NXT Vengeance Day.

Throughout the show when The Rock was shown on WrestleMania graphics, the crowd would boo. There were efforts made to cover up this reaction by production.

WWE is also closely monitoring fan reactions to The Rock’s WrestleMania 40 plans. The Rock and Roman Reigns will have face-off at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event as well. We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book The Rock and Roman Reigns’ feud till then.
