Jacob Fatu’s MLW Journey Ends with Superfight Event

Jacob Fatu has been one of the most well-known wrestlers on the independent scene for the past few years. He managed to make a name for himself in MLW where he even won the promotion’s top prize.

Fatu has been part of MLW since 2019 and was involved in some of the company’s top matches and storylines. After spending years with the company, Rikishi recently announced Fatu’s free agency via social media.

During a recent interview with Signed by Superstars ahead of his MLW Superfight bout, Fatu confirmed that his match at MLW Superfight was his last bout for the company.

“[MLW SuperFight] is the final match. [Saturday] is the final match against Nagata [Yuji Nagata]. Philadelphia has been home to me for the past six years,” he said.

Jacob Fatu was able to defeat Yuji Nagata at MLW Superfight. Following the match, he was attacked by Mads Krugger setting up a match between the two in Baklei Brawl at MLW Burning Crush. The match was taped after MLW Superfight. It now remains to be seen which promotion will rush to sign Jacob Fatu.
