Nic Nemeth, who was released from WWE in September, has made a significant move in his pro wrestling career by landing a role in a film adaptation. He is set to star as Thunder in Imagos Films‘ live-action adaptation of Kyle Starks’ comic book, “The Legend of Ricky Thunder,” titled “Absolute Thunder.”
The film’s storyline revolves around Thunder, a legendary wrestler who grapples with the scripted nature of his success and faces the added challenge of real aliens plotting world domination through professional wrestling.
In a press release, Nic Nemeth expressed his excitement for the project and shared that when he was presented with Kyle Starks’ comic book, he couldn’t resist accepting the role. He described the comic as beautiful, fun, awesome, and wholesome, emphasizing his connection to the character Ricky Thunder.
“Kyle Starks’ comic book was presented to me out of the blue, and wow was it beautiful, fun, awesome, and wholesome. So I could not, in good conscience, say no! Second of all, I AM Ricky…we all are haha!”
It appears that Nic Nemeth’s career is thriving post-WWE, and his involvement in “Absolute Thunder” adds a new dimension to his journey in the world of entertainment.
