Matt Cardona Mocks The Rock and Cody Rhodes Controversy During Indie Event

Matt Cardona was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to achieve greater success outside the organization. He keeps tabs on what goes on in WWE, which is why it is no surprise he trolled The Rock recently following the latter’s WrestleMania 40 debacle.

We have reported that Roman Reigns vs The Rock was inevitable despite any potential injuries. Even WWE’s reasoning behind The Rock squaring off against Roman Reigns was revealed.

During the recent GCW Coldest event, Matt Cardona squared off against Nic Nemeth. Prior to the match, he cut a promo on Nemeth and took a shot at The Rock for stealing Cody Rhodes’ spot despite being a part-timer. Matt Cardona even performed The People’s Elbow to further add to his trolling.

”I am the face of GCW. I can’t just let some part-time come in here and steal my spot. You think you’re The Rock or something bro? So don’t you do us a favor and just lay down, let me get the 1-2-3 so I can finish my story. ”

The Rock is also pushing to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The Rock also wanted to save WrestleMania 40 with the Roman Reigns match. We will have to wait and see if the match will turn out to be worthwhile in the end.
