One of the most intense rivalries of 2023 was the rivalry of Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. Their feud became personal pretty quickly after Swerve broke into Page’s house.
So far, Page and Swerve have faced each other twice and Swerve has come out on top on both occasions. In fact, their previous bout was a bloody affair. Just when it looked like their feud was behind them, they started feuding again, this time for the AEW World Championship.
To finally settle the score, a match was set up for the 2/7 edition of AEW Dynamite between Adam Page and Swerve Strickland where the winner will face Samoa Joe at AEW Revolution.
Tonight on AEW Collision, Swerve addressed the match against Page. He reminded that this is black history month and acknowledged some black wrestlers who paved the way for him like Ron Simmons, Kofi Kingston, and Athena.
Swerve then reminded everyone that he has beaten Page twice and when he does it again, maybe he will put Page behind him and head to AEW Revolution where he will win the AEW World Championship.
Prince Nana then told Tony Schiavone that he would be beside Swerve next week. Swerve then stopped him and told him that the Mogul Embassy could be at ringside but he did not want them to interfere in his match.
