Ricky Starks has been one of the best stars in AEW. He has been consistent in the ring and his promo skills have also improved a lot in recent years.
At the pinnacle of his babyface run, Starks was the most popular wrestler in AEW. Ever since turning heel, Starks has managed to get a lot of heat on himself. Currently, he is one-half of the AEW Tag Team Champions with Big Bill.
Despite being a tag champion, Starks hasn’t stopped thinking about becoming a World Champion. During a recent interview with Forbes, Starks noted how he always deviates from his goals as he mentions them. However, he did point out that he would love to be AEW World Champion.
“I had someone ask me my goal and I can’t tell you because every time I make one it changes immediately.” Starks added, “I would love to say I have goals, but I really don’t. Obviously, I’d love to be AEW World Champion, but every time I make a goal, it never ends up going the way I had envisioned it. So, I think I’m gonna try something different.”
Starks also mentioned that he has creative control over his character in AEW.
“There’s a lot of things I have input on, but also it’s good to have structure. I’m a person that loves having structure and outlines as well.”
Ricky Starks and Big Bill are set to defend their AEW Tag Team Championships against Darby Allin and Sting on 2/7 episode of AEW Dynamite. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of AEW Dynamite.
