After WCW came to en end, many WCW wrestlers jumped over to the WWE. However, Sting took a different approach and joined TNA Wrestling which was run by Dixie Carter.
During his time in TNA, Sting would become one of the biggest stars in the company and was part of so many memorable moments. After many years of being one of the best wrestlers in the world, Sting announced last year that he was going to call it quits on his career at AEW Revolution.
With Revolution just a few weeks away, it is now dawning on a lot of people that an iconic career is about to come to an end. Dixie Carter took to social media to pen a beautiful message about Sting.
“I cannot tell you what @Sting means to me. A true legend and gentleman. I will always be grateful for our many years working together. Get out and support the #icon #lastmatch @AEW #greattimes @ThisIsTNA”
Sting is set to compete for the AEW Tag Team Championships on the 2/7 episode of AEW Dynamite. If he and Darby Allin manage to win, then they will walk into AEW Revolution as the tag champs. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of AEW Dynamite every week.
