Deonna Purrazzo has been one of the most well-known names in women’s wrestling at the moment. She initially made a name for herself in TNA formerly known as IMPACT Wrestling where she won the Knockouts World Championship.
After conquering TNA’s women’s division, The Vurtuosa made her way to AEW and debuted a couple of weeks ago. Instantly, she found herself involved in a storyline with Toni Storm. Making her AEW debut was a big deal for her and her family.
Deonna Purrazo recently appeared on the AEW Unrestricted podcast where she stated that her dad became a wrestling fan after watching her make her AEW debut.
“Fast forward now, I make my debut, there’s my dad crying. When Renee came to the back, he had said to me, ‘I think I’m a wrestling fan now.’ What other place can you go to and you can cheer and you can boo and you can say nasty things about people and everyone else in the audience is doing it, and you’re not being judged. He had the time of his life at Prudential Center and there’s only been a few times where I’ve seen my dad so happy and so free and loose and excited. My wedding day was one of them, and Prudential Center in Newark was the other time.”
Deonna Purrazzo will compete in the biggest match of her career when she challenges Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Revolution. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of AEW Revolution.
