When Bayley walked into this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, she had a whole bunch of friends. However, at the end of the night, she finds herself alone to march forward on the Road to WrestleMania 40.

The Role Model, flanked by members of Damage CTRL came to SmackDown this week to announce her WrestleMania title match opponent. This was after she won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble last week, punching her ticket for the Show of Shows.

While everyone including her faction members hoped that Bayley would pick WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley as her opponent, things took a drastic turn. Bayley revealed that her fellow stable members, IYO Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane made fun of her in Japanese, something she understood and demanded a reason.

That led to Asuka and Kairi attacking her with WWE Women’s champion IYO Sky enjoying the sight. However, Bayley would fire back with a lead pipe to send the trio in retreat, not before revealing that she has chosen IYO as her WrestleMania 40 foe.

While the former WWE Women’s champion finds herself alone in this battle, NXT superstar Jacy Jayne chose to extend backup to Bayley. She took to her X to offer Bayley some backup, claiming that she would have never betrayed her as the trio of Damage CTRL did.

“No one knows how to be a better friend than me..I would have never done this to you @itsBayleyWWE . Call me.”

With Bayley all by herself on the road to WrestleMania, maybe Jacy Jayne’s offer could come in handy on her quest to reign supreme over IYO Sky in Philadelphia and capture the WWE Women’s championship.
