The Acclaimed are one of the most hyped up tag teams in the history of AEW and they are the current Trios Champions alongside Billy Gunn. It seems, the tag team consisting of Anthony Bowens and Max Caste has some unfinished business with two of AEW’s top tag teams, The Young Bucks and FTR.
Bowens teased the idea of potentially taking on The Young Bucks and FTR while answering to a fan on Twitter/X. The fan asked Bowens on the social media platform who he wanted to wrestle most this year. Bowens replied that The Acclaimed has “unfinished business” with UK, FTR, and the Bucks.
Bowens’ response on Twitter/X soon garnered attention from FTR’s Dax Harwood. Dax expressed confusion in his response as he asked how The Acclaimed could have unfinished business with them when The Acclaimed had previously thrashed FTR. Bowens quickly fired back by noting that FTR calls themselves the best tag team in the world, but The Acclaimed is the best tag team alive.
In case you need a refresher, The Acclaimed secured a huge victory against FTR during their initial tag team title run back in December 2022. However, the two tag teams have not clashed again since that encounter. This recent social media banter between them has sparked interests among fans. It remains to be seen if The Acclaimed’s challenge will lead to a future showdown with FTR and The Young Bucks.
