Ronda Rousey has been regarded as one of the most dominant in-ring competitors in the world. She made an impressive resume in UFC and later in WWE, but left the global juggernaut last summer. However, Ronda’s former MMA cohort, Shayna Baszler dropped a hint at a potential future match between them.
Both members of the MMA Four Horsewomen competed in an MMA-Rules match at WWE SummerSlam 2023. The match ended with Shayna prevailing over the Rowdy One and in turn proving to be Ronda’s final WWE match in the process. However, she did make some more appearances including in ROH alongside her close friend, Marina Shafir.
During an interview with WrestlingINC, Baszler revealed that Rousey is not sure of her future inside the squared circle right now and did her last match only for Marina Shafir.
“She doesn’t know if she’s going off, she doesn’t know if she’s coming back or not. She’s taking some time either way and wanted to make sure if she doesn’t come back to this, that she has a match with Marina.“
Furthermore, she added that Ronda Rousey might come back for one more match to exact revenge on her for the beating she gave her at SummerSlam.
“If I know Ronda, she’ll want to get her one up on me, so we’ll see.”
While the chances look slim for Rousey’s return as she revealed wanting to be a full-time mother to her child right now, the never-say-never mantra in the wrestling world could always bring the Baddest Woman on the Planet back to lay some carnage.
