Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite has been an exciting night of action. The show featured a couple of exciting matches and was headlined by Swerve Strickland and Rob Van Dam in a hardcore match.
If tonight was any good, it looks like next week promises to be better. One of the biggest matches announced was the AEW Tag Team Championship match between Darby Allin & Sting and Ricky Starks & Big Bill.
With Sting’s retirement on the horizon, he and Darby are eyeing a title run and they want to go after the AEW Tag Team Championship. This will be the toughest challenge for the current champs Ricky Starks and Big Bill but they seemed confident tonight during their sit-down interview with their challengers. Next week, we will find out who the better tag team is.
Another major match announced was the singles match between Konosuke Takeshita and Chris Jericho. Tonight, Jericho faced off against Kyle Fletcher and came out on top. Following his win, Takeshita came out and their match was then announced for next week.
If that wasn’t enough, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page will settle their rivalry once and for all in a number one contender’s match for the AEW World Championship.
Another big match announced was the trios match between CMLL and Blackpool Combat. Blackpool Combat Club will be looking for revenge after CMLL’s vicious assault on Moxley tonight. Tony Khan is also set to make an announcement next week.
The lineup for the 2/7 episode of Dynamite already looks packed with some great matches. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of AEW Dynamite every week.
