Kazuchika Okada’s impending free agency has generated significant interest in the wrestling world, with both WWE and AEW reportedly engaging in talks with the Japanese wrestling star.
While Okada’s NJPW contract is set to expire soon, it’s worth noting that his discussions with other companies appear to be amicable, as he made it clear that he was finishing up with NJPW.
According to Fightful Select, WWE has confirmed that there have been talks between Okada’s representatives and the company. The report also confirmed that Okada has been in talks with talents as well, in order to gauge his offers. However, there is no information available about any creative plans or specific offers that may have been presented to Okada.
“WWE sources confirmed that there have been talks between Okada’s side and WWE. There have been WWE talent that confirmed that over the last few weeks, Okada has been in contact with others on the roster to gauge his offers, WWE’s approach, and to help weigh a decision. We have not heard of any creative plans in place for Okada, or any specific pitches that may or may not have been thrown his way.”
AEW, on the other hand, has been confident about the possibility of signing Okada for some time. AEW has made a substantial offer to secure his services, and there were tentative plans in place for his debut, set to occur well over a month from now.
It’s important to note that, as of now, no contract has been signed by Kazuchika Okada. He has also recently enlisted the services of Barry Bloom as his representative, adding another layer of intrigue to his free agency status.
Wrestling fans will undoubtedly be eager to see where the Rainmaker lands next and how his future unfolds in the wrestling world.
