Seth Rollins has been the World Heavyweight Champion for several months now but an injury might have affected that when it comes to long-term plans. With that said, WWE has plans to determine Rollins’ opponent for WrestleMania 40.
During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Cody Rhodes more or less made it clear he was going after Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. However, Seth Rollins intervened and made the case for him to be Rhodes’ opponent instead.
While that remains uncertain, what fans do know is that there will be a Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on February 24th at the Opus Stadium in Perth, Australia.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Seth Rollins’ opponent for WrestleMania 40. He noted that the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber match would definitely challenge Rollins, thereby making it clear Rhodes wouldn’t be Rollins’ opponent.
“The Elimination Chamber is definitely going to determine who faces Seth at WrestleMania.”
Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn will likely be in the chamber match, so it remains to be seen who the other participants will be, as the winner will challenge Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
